What’s new
What has been added to the app. Updates come out every week.
“Don’t forget” sets and a substitute instead of a ban
- In the Library, the “Don’t forget” tab now has four sets of tasks without a deadline: home, health on schedule, important documents and keeping in touch. When adding one, you can say when it was last done, so the reminder doesn’t come too early. Today shows the three oldest; the rest are under “All”.
- The “Don’t do” templates are replaced by substitute habits: “An hour before bed — a book instead of a screen”, “Mornings: window and water first, phone later”. Instead of a streak, you see how many times the substitute worked; nothing resets after a gap. Habits you already have stay as they are.
- “Why it matters” on templates now gives one specific fact and who states it: the NHS, WHO, DGE, UNICEF and others, with a “Source” link. In the first three weeks of a new habit, a line notes that getting used to it takes a different time for everyone.
Colours of the day and releasing a habit
- Today is now a list with small watercolours, so you see more habits at once. For large pictures, choose the Gallery view in Settings. In the browser, the app works without internet after the first visit.
- The butterfly on Today takes on colour with each check-off. In the evening, a calm summary of the day replaces what’s left, and in the light theme the paper turns warmer. On Monday mornings, a “Your past week” card: one butterfly for each day.
- The habit form now starts with “After which habit?”: something new is easier to remember right after something familiar. The first circle until the chrysalis is chosen when you start — 7, 14 or 30 days — and can be changed in Settings.
- A habit whose wings have unfolded can be released: it leaves the daily list and stays in the garden as a butterfly. You can still mark it on any day.
Fruitage of the spirit and spiritual habits
- Nine watercolour cards of the qualities (Gal. 5:22, 23). One a week: a small practice for the day and an evening question, just for you.
- New: “Encourage someone” once a week, and new watercolours under Spiritual. Prayers and weekly spiritual habits now show only the check-off, no streak.
- If one day a week goes unmarked, your streak carries on. That day is labelled so.
Eight languages, a “why” and the mood of the day
- Eight languages: Spanish, Italian, Greek, French and Dutch join Russian, German and English. The language is in Settings.
- Library habits have “Why it matters”: the benefit in a sentence or two, with a Bible verse for spiritual ones. After a check-off, one line on what it gives.
- In “A few words about the day” on Today you can pick one or two feelings from ten labelled watercolours; under the chosen one, a line on what that feeling is. The choice appears when Wellbeing is on and is stored with its entries.
- A small watercolour sits next to a habit’s name on Today and in Habits. Your own habit, with your own “why” and a picture: 60 watercolours to choose from in the habit form.
